Bring HR and finance together around vehicle benefits that fit your workforce and your organisation. Explore salary sacrifice and affinity car schemes with a local team to help you understand the options.
HR wants a benefit employees value. Finance needs to understand the commitment. Start with both priorities and build a clearer picture of what a vehicle benefit could look like for your business.
Built around your workforce
You may be introducing a benefit for the first time or reviewing an existing arrangement. Start with your objectives, employee needs and the level of employer involvement that suits your organisation.
Discuss electric vehicle salary sacrifice through Pulman Fleet’s partnership with EZOO, including the proposed scheme arrangements and responsibilities for your organisation.
Explore access to vehicle offers through your organisation. An affinity offer is not automatically a salary sacrifice arrangement; eligibility, funding and payment terms need to be agreed.
Help employees explore vehicles suited to their journeys, budgets and charging access, with practical guidance from our Fleet team.
Already have a provider? Discuss nominating Pulman Fleet as a vehicle supply partner for Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT and CUPRA.

Identify the information, people and approvals needed before progressing your chosen approach.
An employee agrees to give up part of their cash salary in return for a vehicle benefit. The arrangement requires an agreed employment-contract change, and tax and National Insurance treatment depends on the benefit and circumstances.
An affinity scheme gives an eligible group access to vehicle offers through an organisation or membership. It does not automatically involve giving up salary. Confirm who signs the agreement, how payments work and which eligibility conditions apply to the proposed offer.
Eligibility depends on scheme rules and individual circumstances. Salary sacrifice must not reduce cash earnings below the applicable National Minimum Wage. Employers also need to consider effects on statutory pay, pensions and other earnings-related benefits.
Review rentals, included services, excluded costs, tax treatment and payroll requirements. Confirm responsibility for charges and what happens during absence, a change in circumstances or early termination. Check any protections and exclusions in the actual agreement.
Do not assume this for every arrangement. Assess the proposed scheme’s costs, any potential savings and the employer’s commitments. Your payroll or tax adviser should confirm the position for your organisation.
