Skoda Confirms Name of New Electric Flagship SUV: Peaq

Skoda has officially confirmed Peaq as the name of its upcoming all-electric flagship SUV, marking a major step forward in the brand’s electric vehicle strategy. Due to make its world debut in summer 2026, the seven-seat Peaq will sit at the very top of Skoda’s model range and is expected to become a key vehicle for families, company car drivers, and fleet operators moving towards electric mobility.

The Peaq is based on the Vision 7S concept, first revealed in spring 2022, which introduced Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language. This approach focuses on sustainability, durability, and functionality, while remaining true to Skoda’s long-standing strengths of interior space, comfort, and everyday practicality.

Built for Space, Versatility and Everyday Use

Positioned as Skoda’s largest and most advanced electric vehicle to date, the Peaq has been designed to suit both family life and professional use. With seven seats as standard, it targets customers who need flexibility for work, travel, and leisure without sacrificing efficiency or modern technology.

As expected from Skoda, the Peaq will feature a wide range of Simply Clever solutions, intuitive cabin technology, and a user-friendly interior layout. Generous passenger space, practical storage options, and advanced digital features are all expected to play a central role, making the Peaq particularly appealing for high-mileage drivers and fleet users.

A New Flagship for Skoda’s Electric Future

The name “Peaq” reflects the model’s position as the peak of Skoda’s vehicle portfolio, both in size and technological ambition. It will showcase the brand’s most advanced electric vehicle technology to date, with expectations of strong real-world range, rapid charging capability, and the latest driver assistance and safety systems.

Martin Jahn, Skoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said:

“Our new flagship model takes our brand values of spaciousness and practicality to a whole new level. As of today, our bold vision for Skoda’s electric future has a name: Peaq.”

What This Means for Fleet and Business Drivers

For fleet operators and company car drivers, the Skoda Peaq represents the continued shift towards large, fully electric SUVs that can genuinely replace traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. Its size, seating capacity, and anticipated range make it well suited to:

  • Multi-user fleet vehicles
  • Senior management and executive car schemes
  • Salary sacrifice electric vehicle programmes
  • Family-friendly company car drivers

As charging infrastructure continues to improve across the UK, vehicles like the Peaq are expected to play a vital role in helping businesses reduce emissions while maintaining practicality and driver comfort.
