Introducing the ID. Polo GTI: the most powerful production Polo ever, bringing the unmistakable GTI thrill into the electric era.
Rooted in the spirit of the 1976 Golf GTI, it reinterprets front‑wheel‑drive performance with instant torque and a design that’s pure, positive and unmistakably GTI. Built on the advanced MEB+ platform, it delivers a smarter kind of speed and control. As Volkswagen’s first electric model with an electronically controlled front‑axle differential lock, managed by Vehicle Dynamics Manager—just like the current Golf GTI—it serves up confident traction and razor‑sharp responses on every road. Previewed in camouflaged form at IAA MOBILITY 2025 and set for a world premiere in summer 2026, the 166 kW (226 PS) ID. Polo GTI is poised to open the next chapter of GTI excitement—electric, agile and absolutely iconic.
